2025 Projects

Drive for Equality Project: Managed by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate and supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), the “Drive for Equality” Project aims to strengthen gender equality in public transportation and increase women’s employment. The Yaşar University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (YÜKAM) is responsible for conducting the scientific research, workshops, and symposium processes within the scope of the project. The Center contributes to the development of egalitarian and inclusive institutional policies in the field of public transportation.

I Am a Woman, I Exist with My Rights Project: Carried out in cooperation with the Share the Future Civil Initiative, Yaşar University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (YÜKAM), and the Buldan Foundation, this project is implemented under the WE ACT Program, which is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye and executed by ALDA in partnership with the Daktilo1984 Association. The project aims to create a rights-based gender equality literacy training module for women living in rural areas and to raise awareness through advocacy campaigns.

Young Women Protecting Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development Project: Conducted in cooperation with the International Association of Women in Sustainable Development (USKD), Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Business, the Women Directors Association, and YÜKAM, this project is supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Relations with Civil Society. The project aims to raise awareness among young women regarding the preservation of cultural heritage in line with sustainable development goals and to develop their community leadership skills.

CEİDizler – Monitoring Gender Equality Project (Phase III): Carried out by the Association for Monitoring Gender Equality (CEİD), this project aims to monitor gender equality indicators at the local level and develop data-driven policies. As a member of the Izmir Local Equality Monitoring Platform (YEİP), YÜKAM works in coordination with local governments, contributing to the evaluation of indicators and the preparation of the Izmir Local Equality Monitoring Report.

Izmir Local Equality Monitoring Platform (YEİP): Established in cooperation with CEİD, the platform aims to monitor and improve gender equality policies in local governments. YÜKAM plays an active role in the executive processes of the platform and contributes to report writing, monitoring indicators, and strategic planning efforts.

KADIN-İZ: Monitoring the Needs of NEET Women in Izmir and Solution Project: Conducted under the coordination of the Izmir City Council Women’s Assembly, in cooperation with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, women’s organizations, professional chambers, the business world, and YÜKAM. The project aims to identify the needs of young women who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), to develop solution proposals at the local level, and to strengthen cooperation with policymaking institutions.

Izmir YEİP Framing Climate Inequality Project: Financed by the European Union and implemented under the leadership of the Izmir Local Equality Monitoring Platform (YEİP), YÜKAM contributed to social awareness within this project by hosting seminars and photography exhibitions themed “Analysis of the Climate Crisis from a Gender Perspective.” The project is currently in the reporting phase.
