“Framing Climate Inequality: A Visual Narrative from the Local Through Women’s Testimony” Project Photography Exhibition – Yaşar University

We would like to announce that the second edition of the photography exhibition, prepared within the scope of the project “Framing Climate Inequality: A Visual Narrative from the Local Through Women’s Testimony,” will meet its visitors between December 8–13, 2025, at the Yaşar University Foyer Area. The project is carried out under the coordination of the Izmir Local Equality Monitoring Platform and with the support of CEİD (Association for Monitoring Gender Equality), in cooperation with the Yaşar University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (YÜKAM), the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Women’s Studies Branch Directorate, and the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Sustainability and Urban Strategies.

The exhibition aims to make visible the multidimensional inequalities created by the climate crisis in women’s daily life experiences through their own frames and testimonies. This study intends to raise awareness about climate justice, gender equality, and solidarity practices rising from the local.

The exhibition opening will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 12:30 at the Yaşar University Foyer Area.

Everyone interested in the event is cordially invited.
