Remote Work Has Taken a Heavy Toll, Especially on Women with Children

According to the capstone project survey results of Damla Şentürk, a student in the Distance Learning Master’s Program at Yaşar University Faculty of Business, while the majority of remote workers prefer not to return to offices, women employees with young children experience significant challenges balancing work and childcare at home, and consequently feel the need to return to the office.

The results of the survey, conducted with 160 participants, indicated that remote working leads to a sense of burnout among mothers and fathers with children under the age of 7.
